Positive Promotions – Friday Made Sweeter With a Bake Sale for a Cause

The American Cancer Society® is a nationwide, community-based health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer. ACS is dedicated to helping people stay well and get well, by finding cures, and fighting back. We, at Positive Promotions, are making a difference by teaming up to participate in the American Cancer Society’s® Relay For Life® and having fun raising money by putting together fundraisers such as our annual bake sale!

Hauppauge, NY April 15, 2011 - Positive Promotions will be participating in the “Relay For Life®” with ACS in Bay Shore, NY on May 21st -22nd . At the event, the Positive team will camp out overnight and take turns walking around the track to raise money and awareness for the cause. All funds raised will be donated to The American Cancer Society® to support the research needed to find a cure to end this tragic disease. “We realize saving lives from cancer takes more than just one person, so together as a team, and one dollar at a time we will make a difference in many lives and help to find a cure to end cancer.” said Patty McColley, Director of the call center at Positive Promotions and Team Leader, “The impact we can make together as a team is much greater than one individual working alone.”


Today at Positive Promotions we had a Bake Sale in our building as part of our efforts to raise money and awareness for a cure. Everyone got involved in some way. Some people baked delicious treats and others bought them up! There were yummy cupcakes, brownies, lemon meringue pie, strawberry shortcake, cookies and the list goes on, but the most popular goodie at the bake sale was Tom Zimmerman’s, CFO at Positive Promotions, carrot cake. Apparently everyone who had this amazingly delicious carrot cake last year could not wait to get their hands on it this year; the cake actually had to be hidden so we could get a picture of it before it was finished off! The bake sell was a big hit; we were able to raise a lot of money and also had a lot of fun doing it!


All of Positive Promotions’ teams, together, rose over $30,000 last year with all their fundraising efforts for “The Bay Shore Relay For Life® Event”. We hope to go beyond that this year. If you want to learn more about Positive Promotions “Relay For Life®” team come check us out online!
